Ordinance 01-2017 [pdf], An Ordinance to Approve a Modification and Realignment of Ordinance 03-2016 [pdf], the Annual Appropriation Ordinance (Village) and to Declare an Emergency was introduced by Benevento and passed.
Resolution 2017-02, A Resolution to Confirm the Appointment of William Charles as Street Commissioner had its second reading.
Jim Dippel of Burgess & Niple updated Council on the progress of the planning and design phase of he infrastructure project. This phase is now 30% complete and the project is on track to begin construction in early 2018. As part of construction, certain roads will be impassable at times, so it is recommended that anyone in the Village who has mobility issues or has neighbors with mobility issues contact the Council so that plans may be made for this.
The Solicitor reported that she continues to work on an easement for the property at 275 Southington as part of the infrastructure project and for ongoing maintenance of the Village's water lines.
Council discussed options to handle sump pump discharges from residences. There are several options, with varying degrees of costs and risks. These will continue to be discussed throughout the planning for the project.
